| The cross we all bear,
as Drivers, is ever increasing, and usually confusing, bureaucracy. |
Most Drivers
have Internet access: This can make life a bit easier.
This online application combines the need for Driver record keeping and submitting
work times to the office.
The time sheet allows Drivers to enter start and finish
times, etc.
Drivers can also enter daily POA and any hours worked for other agencies.
Drivers need not enter the names of other agencies if they do not wish
to.
A 'Calculate' button will produce daily, weekly paid and WTD hours.
Drivers can also enter daily notes which are not part of, or submitted
with, the time sheet.
This may be handy for recording incidents, training, whatever.
The 'List Weeks' page lists all weeks in the
current period to date.
It shows which weeks the Driver has submitted time sheets for.
At the bottom, is the
required,
average WTD hours figure.
By default, and where there is no work record for a week, WTD hours
are listed as 48.
These hours are removed as soon as data is entered.
Drivers can fill in time sheets during the week, and submit
at the end of the week.
POA: Whilst a Driver gets paid for POA hours, that Driver is not
actually working..
|
Where a Driver is waiting, queuing or standing by, these hours can be
recorded as Periods Of Availability, (POA).
POA hours, however, do not count in the calculation of (WTD) average
weekly hours. |

The WTD year adopted by Avon Drivers runs from April to April.
Obviously, this ties in with the tax and accounting years and will be popular
with many companies.
During January,
February and March the WTD Year will
be one year less than the chronological year .
The WTD Year is split into two periods of 26 weeks.
NB: As a year contains just over 52 weeks, occasionally
there will be a period of 27 weeks.
